The 2024 Chevrolet Corvette C8 represents one of the biggest shifts in Corvette history, bringing the legendary American sports car into the modern era with a mid engine layout and an entirely new approach to performance. Powered by a naturally aspirated 6.2 liter LT2 V8 producing 490 horsepower and 465 lb ft of torque, the C8 delivers strong performance while maintaining the character that has defined the Corvette for generations. Paired with an 8 speed dual clutch transmission, the C8 offers quick shifts, immediate response, and a level of balance that makes it just as capable on the street as it is when pushed harder. The mid engine platform gives the car a more balanced feel while creating the low, exotic proportions that have made the C8 such a standout in the sports car market.
For this project, Forgelite was involved from the fitment stage through the final wheel configuration. The customer wanted a wheel that would give the C8 a more personalized appearance while maintaining the clean, factory inspired character of the car. We worked around the vehicle's factory brake configuration, including the requirement to clear the Z51 brake setup, while developing a fitment that would properly fill the wheel wells and sit flush with the body. The final configuration was built around our LP5 Monoblock, with a 20x9.5 front and 21x12.5 rear setup, 5x120 bolt pattern, and 66.9mm hub bore. Rather than simply selecting an off the shelf application, the wheel specifications were configured specifically around this build.
The finished wheels feature a Brushed Gloss Clear finish that adds depth while keeping the overall appearance clean. The LP5 Monoblock design complements the C8's sharp body lines without competing with them, while the staggered sizing gives the car a wider and more planted presence. Every part of the setup was considered, from brake clearance and hub fitment to sizing, finish, and overall stance.
