TWO-PIECE (2PC) WHEEL consists of two parts: wheel centre and barrel. The two parts get joined together with hardware (rivets around the wheel centre). The two parts can be finished in different colors and finishes.
THREE-PIECE (3PC) WHEEL consists of three parts: wheel centre, outer (lip), and inner. The three parts get joined together with hardware (rivets around the wheel centre). The seam between the outer and inner gets sealed with silicon to make the wheel airtight. All three parts can be finished in different colors and finishes.
A two-piece wheel is a good option if you don't want to reseal the wheels every once in a while. However, the lip size on a two-piece wheel barrel is fixed and the width of the barrel is limited to 12 inches wide or narrower.
